Hey gang –

I thought you might be interested in checking out one of the most thorough, well-written, interesting and graphically impressive college sports previews I’ve seen.

And, perhaps most notably, it was done by a college newspaper.

If you click on the link below, you can read, through media viewer, the 20-page Syracuse men’s lax preview section, published by the Syracuse University Daily Orange. (The cover of the section is shown above.)

The section came together beautifully, thanks in large part to the efforts of Mahopac’s own Tony Olivero, a junior at ‘Cuse and assistant sports editor of the Daily Orange. Amazing job, Tony and the Daily Orange staff!

For Hudson Valley fans, there’s a well-written and eye-opening feature on JoJo Marasco, including comments by Marasco, his former coach at Somers, Lew Janavey, his coach at ‘Cuse, John Desko, and teammate and fellow midfielder Jovan Miller.

Be sure to check it out.

Here’s the link to the section.

That was a great section. Thanks for sharing it Joe. Amazing the kind of coverage SU Lax gets. But well deserved. The feature on Jo-jo was very interesting as well.

Who gives an interview better then Sweet Lew. Cody J is a tough kid who plays hard, and now we know why.. Jo-Jo will wind up being a huge impact player for four years. Thanks Joe.
