Mahopac enters the season minus all-America attackman Tyler Perrelle, but the ‘Pac does have a strong nucleus of returning players that includes one of the region’s top offensive players, John Brandofino, a senior bound for Division II power New York Tech.

What have you been doing to get ready for the season?
We have had morning practices and lifting for the team. We are also preaching the team concept and trying to have a family environment.

Can you talk about some of the key players you lost from last year and how you think you will be able to replace them?
We lost a few key players from last year such as Tyler Perrelle, Brendan Synan and Anthony Lopez. We have a lot of young talent  who are stepping up and showing improvement.

How does schedule look and which ones are you looking forward to most?
Our scrimmage schedule should be good competition. Playing a few Long Island teams is always good competition, but I’m looking forward to playing  Mercer Island. Should be intresting playing a West Coast team.

What players on your team do you think will surprise some people this season?
We have a young team and some players that may surprise people may be Kevin Carey, John Bota, Anthony Berardis and Charlie Evans. They are all players balancing out our offense.

What do you think the strength of your team will be this year?
I think our strength is in our offense. We have  depth in our middies and were starting to show some offensive chemistry.
