Here’s a Q & A we did with Jake on his commitment.

What were the main factors in your decision to attend Wooster?
The main factors of my decision in going to Wooster were to get a good education and because it’s a good lacrosse program. There is also a nice campus and everyone out there seemed nice.

What other schools were you considering and what schools did you visit?
The other schools that i considered and visited were Oneonta State and Washington College.

What adjustments do you think you will need to make to play at the next level?
To play at the next level I’ll need to make the adjustment of a much longer season. At Irvington, our season is from the beginning of April to June. In college, it starts in February.

What are your strengths as a player and how would you describe your style of play?
One of the strengths in my game is moving between the lines and clearing the ball. Another strength I think I have is vision of the field.

What players have you looked up to as you have moved up through the varsity ranks?
Some of the players that I have looked up too have been J.P. Starpoli and the style of play of Matt Abbott.
