Remy Lieberman, a two-year starting attackman for Yorktown, has made his college choice.

The rising senior will attend Division III power Wesleyan, where he will join former teammates John Froats, the 2009 NESCAC rookie of the year, and incoming freshman Brett Cabriele.

Here’s a Q&A with Remy:

What were the main factors in deciding on Wesleyan?
I decided on Wesleyan because of its strong academics, (Wesleyan) Coach (John) Raba’s coaching style and the excellent lacrosse program.

What other schools did you unofficially visit and consider attending?
I made campus visits to and received interest from West Point, Brown, Washington & Lee, Franklin & Marshal, St. John’s and Middlebury.

What were your thoughts when you visited and met with the coaches?
All of the coaches I met with were great guys who offered some great opportunities.  Coach Raba was very patient, honest and enthusiastic.  Wesleyan is playing excellent lacrosse and I believe that they have a great chance at winning the NESCAC and also winning an NCAA title.

What are your thoughts about being reunited with former HS teammates John Froats and Brett Cabriele in college?
Obviously I am excited to be on a great lacrosse team with John and Brett again.  John was named NESCAC rookie of the year last year, and he loves the school and the team.

What areas of your game do you think you need to improve on and what will you be doing this fall and winter training-wise in preparation for next season?
As I have done for the past three seasons I will be training with (trainer and 1995 Yorktown High grad) Rob Anderson of Make the Cut Speed and Conditioning to get stronger and faster.  My training with Rob has been key to improving my game.  I also shoot everyday and usually shoot on (Trinity College-bound Yorktown rising senior goaltender) Derek Koelsch a few times per week.
